    Latakia 1869 (March 2): Entire letter from Latakia to Alexandria, Egypt, franked with horizontal pair of Napoléon laureated 20 c. blue, a fresh multiple, tied by Gros Chiffre '5091' numeral with cogwheel "LATAQUIE SYRIE 2 MARS 69" cds (Pothion = 28 points) and framed PD handstamp alongside, reverse with "BEYROUTH SYRIE 3 MARS 69" (with 'H', Pothion = 15 points) transit cds as well as "ALEXANDRIE EGYPTE 6 MARS 69" arrival cds. Cover refolded for display, minor perforation irregularities, an appealing cover.
