    Beirut 1871 (June 2): Letter sheet from Beirut to Lyon, franked with 1870 Bordeaux 40 c. orange tied by Gros chiffres '5082' numeral, "BEYROUTH SYRIE 2 JUIN 71" cds in black, framed PD in black and framed "PAQUEBOTS DE LA MEDITERRANEE" in red alongside, reverse with Marseille transit and Lyon arrival cds (June 13).
