    Recess by Bradbury Wilkinson, perf. 14, 14½ 1878/80: 3 d. dull rose (2) and 4 d. sage-green (vertical marginal pair), used on 1882 cover from Pretoria to Paris, France tied by "1" numeral obliterator with 'Pretoria / Transvaal' cds below (Oct 23) and "2½d." credit mark in red. Reverse with London transit cds (Nov 20) and Paris arrival cds. Cover #13 in the Jorgensen census. Overpaid ½d., a scarce franking to an unusual destination.
