    'V.R.I.' with raised stops 1900 (Post March): 2½ d. on 3 d. ultramarine (a + b), the famous unused block of eighteen (6 x 3) of rich resonant colour, showing the sixteenth stamp (Gi. 116) with Roman '1' and antique '2' in fraction, four stamps (ninth, twelfth, fifteenth and eighteenth stamps) with thick "V", and misalignment of the overprint forme. Fresh and very fine, with large part og. and lower twelve stamps unmounted og. A key piece for the OFS connoisseur, illustrated and discussed in Hisey & Bartshe on pages 173 and 174.
