    Overprinted 'Postage' by Keith & Co. 1869 (Aug 23): 6 d. violet, wmk. Crown CC, perf. 12½, optd. 'POSTAGE' Type 7a, First Setting, a horizontal pair used on 1873 cover from Pietermaritzburg to Leeds, tied by numeral "1" obliterators in black. GPO / NATAL cds below (May 16) and reverse with Leeds arrival cds (July 2).
