    Second Printing. Overprinted with small "G" 1879: Cape 4 d. dull blue optd. "G" in black, Type 17, used on 1880 cover from Du Toit's Span, to Emil Burmester in Cape Town tied by barred numeral obliterator (6 or 9) in black. Oval framed DU TOIT'S PAN datestamp at left (April 24) in black. 'Cape Town / Cape Colony' arrival cds (April 29) on reverse. Faults to envelope and stamp with perfs. stained at right, nevertheless a scarce cover.
