1871 (March 1): 5 c. bistre-brown, a single example used on 1874 cover from Guatemala City to Antigua, tied by scarce usage of the 'Guatemala' datestamp (April 21) in black. Carried by Steamer with corresponding "Correos de Guatemala / Paquetes" datestamp in red of the same day alongside. Recorded in the Goodman census with just 7, perhaps eight single 5 c. frankings now known. Slight envelope imperfection well above the adhesive, a rare and most attractive cover. Cert.
