    1870 (Jan 30): Entire letter from Buenos Aires to New York via London, carried on the Maiden Voyage of the "Amazone" on this line and struck with octagonal 'BUENOS AYRES / PAQ. FR. J. No. 3' in black (Salles 1072d/3) - First day of Use of this Cachet D'Escale. Thence via London (March 1) where struck with Anglo French "FR./2F 20c" Accountancy marking (Salles 3102, Van Der Linden fig. 1264) in black. New York arrival on reverse (March 15).
