    1642 (Aug 23): Entire letter from Dover to Antwerp, prepaid '1sh.' (shilling) in manuscript with docketing of receipt on September 10th - England was still using the julian calendar. 1 shilling was equal to 6 stuyvers at this date. An unusual entire, mailed the day after the acknowledged beginning of the English Civil War.
