    1903 (May 1): The set of ten values to £ 1 purple & black on red, wmk. Crown CA, all overprinted SPECIMEN (Types D12 & D14) in black, further overprinted with straight line "ULTRAMAR" in Lisbon prior to distribution to Portugal's Colonies. Colours slightly faded as usual due to storage in the tropics, a few imperfections but rare Gi = £ 550+.rnrnProvenance: Collection Paul Kayfetz.
