    1840/1908: Interesting Selection three stamps and nine covers incl. two prepaid uniform penny postage entires from March and April 1840, both endorsed 'prepaid' or 'paid' with '1' d. noted on front, a Mulready 1 d. black envelope, stereo A26, a used example to London cancelled by fine Maltese Cross in orange-red ink, another Mulready 1d. black envelope, stereo A151, used to Wearmouth, an unused Mulready 2 d. blue envelope, stereo a96, an entire sent in December 1840 from Keswick to Carlisle bearing a Penny Black cancelled by red MC, a printed matter sent in 1867 from London via Stralsund to Sweden, partially paid until the Prussian border with 2 d. blue, cert. van der Linden, an entire sent in July 1875 from Liverpool to Paris bearing a strip of three 1 d. red, and a special 1908 envelope commemorating the introduction of the Penny Post between the UK and the USA, including the original content, in addition three Penny Black.
