    1840: Mulready 1 d. black letter-sheet, Stereo A7, an 1844 used example from London to Haslemere cancelled by fine London "8" numeral obliterator in black. Reverse with London despatch cds (Sept 21) and superb double arc HASLEMERE arrival cds (Sept 22) in black alongside. A scarce usage - late usages of the 1 d. are much scarcer than the late usage of the 2 d. Mulready.rnrn
