    Canea / Xania 1890: 20 pa. on 5 kr. rose & black, a vertical pair used on 1895 cover to Vienna tied by rare early usage of the I.R.SPEDZIONE POSTALE / CANEA datestamp (Tchilinghirian fig. 535) in black. Reverse with Austro-Hungarian Consular seal in red and arrival cds (15/12) in blue. Tchilinghirian states the Italian language datestamp is "very scarce with early dates".
