    Symi 1869 (Sept 16): Entire letter written in Symi sent unpaid to Trieste, struck on obverse with SMIRNE thimble datestamp (24/9) in blue-black ink (Tchilinghirian fig. 10), rated '20' (soldi) due on receipt in blue crayon. Triest oval arrival (30/9) on reverse of a very fine entire. Mail from the island of Symi normally transitted through Rhodes.
