    Austrian P.O. in Rhodes 1864: 15 s. brown, perf. 9½, used on 1869 cover from Rhodes to Trieste cancelled by RHODUS / MAR. 5. two line datestamp (Tchilinghirian fig. 573) in black - note the date reversed with month before day and the day slug '5' inverted. Reverse with 'Lloyd Agenzie / Smirne' cds (8/3) and transferred to the Consular Post Office with SMIRNE thimble datestamp also tying the adhesive (13.3.69) in black. Triest arrival (19/3) in black. Rare: illustrated in Ferchenbauer IV handbook (2008) on page 514.
