    Austrian Post Office in Chios (Cesme) 1852 (March 28): Entire letter from Cesme to Trieste, crossed to denote prepayment, struck initially in error with fine strike of oval framed AGENZIA DEL LLOYD AUSTRIACO / SCIO in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 559). This handstamp deleted and struck alongside with CESME / MAR 29. datestamp in black and FRANCA adjacent (figs. 1 and 2) in black. Reverse with Trieste arrival (4/4) in red with prepaid Lloyd rate '12' in manuscript. Rare and exceptional entire, mentioned in Tchilinghirian, vol.
