    1864/71: 1 d. carmine-vermilion, 3 d.lilac, pair of 6 d. red-brown and 1 s. yellow-green all used on 1868 mourning envelope at double rate from Balclutha to Bourges, France sent via Panama at 2/4d. rate, all tied by "019" numeral obliterators in black with manuscript '1/-' credit in red ink on front. Reverse, part flap missing, with Balclutha despatch cds (Sept 30), Dunedin cds (Oct 1) and Bourges arrival (Nov 27). Envelope imperfections but a spectacular four colour franking and very rare. Cert.
