    1862/64: 6 d. black-brown and 1 s. yellow-green, perf. 13 at Dunedin, used on 1863 registered cover from Manuerikia Junction Goldfield to Launceston, Tasmania tied by numeral "024" obliterator handstamps in black. Reverse with superb (and scarce) GOLDFIELD / OTAGO despatch cds (May 4, latest recorded usage) in black, front with Dunedin transit cds and circular double arc REGISTERED handstamp in red. Diamond framed SHIP LETTER - INWARDS FREE in red (May 21) of arrival. The cover with stamps lifted for checking, opened for display and sensibly re-backed at corners to prevent deterioration.
