    1862: Serrated perf. 16 or 18 at Nelson, 6 d. chestnut, a fine example but for slight scuff, serrated 18, used on 1862 cover from Nelson to London, tied by "15" numeral obliterator in black. Reverse with 'Nelson / New Zealand' cds of despatch (June 12) in black, obverse with 'London / Paid' arrival cds Aug 22) in red. The stamp has been lifted for checking and replaced. Seal removed from envelope on reverse but a great rarity, probably unique on letter. Cert.
