    1874: ½ d. dull rose, 1876 6 d. violet optd. POSTAGE (14½ mm.) in black and rare usage of 1877 "½ / HALF" on ½ d. dull rose all tied to 1877 cover to Cincinatti, USA (Adams correspondence) in black with fair 'Durban / Natal' cds below (June 18). Reverse with 'New York / Paid All' duplex of transit (July 23) and manuscript docketing on front (July 31). Minor imperfections but a rare combination of issues, the Provisional "½" on cover being of great rarity with only a handful recorded.
