    1857 (May 26): Embossed 6 d. green, a used example with good margins all round and of fine colour, tied to 1858 cover from Pietermaritzburg to Glasgow by oval 'POST OFFICE / P.M.BURG' handstamp in black. Carried on the 'HMS Southampton' from Cape Town, reverse with London cds in red (May 26) and Glasgow arrival (same day) in blue. Charged '6' (pence) due to pay in manuscript on obverse. Minor wrinkles to envelope but of fresh and fine appearance. A rare cover. Cert.
