    1878/79: Dom Pedro 20 r. violet, a single and a block of six and 80 r. lake in a horizontal pair, used on the back of a 200 r. black postal stationery envelope (H&G B2) sent registered from Rio de Janeiro to Dresden endorsed 'pour Guadiana'; all tied by cork handstamps in black. Oval framed REGISTRADO and 'Rio de Janeiro' despatch cds in red on obverse (June 23, 1879) and 'Cöln-Verviers' registration label alongside. Dresden arrival cds (July 17) on reverse. A fine and attractive triple rate usage.
