    1912: "Villabella Provisional", 20 c. on 2 c. green & black, surcharged diagonally reading down in blue, a fine example tied to 1912 cover from Villabella to Hamburg by small target handstamps with oval "Administracion de Correos / de Villabella", both struck in green at lower left. Reverse with "PORTO VELHO / (AMAZONAS)" datestamp in violet (Feb 10) and 'Recepcao / Amazonas' cds in black (Feb 17). Minor opening tear on reverse mentioned for full accuracy but exceedingly rare, just this example and the Ortiz-Patiño cover also to Hamburg, are recorded. A splendid and rare cover.
