    Recess by Bradbury Wilkinson, perf. 14, 14½ 1878/80: 3 d. dull rose, single example used with 6 d. olive-black (2) on 1882 cover from Pretoria to the 'Mission to the Heathen' in Berlin tied by 'Middelburg / Transvaal' datestamps (Jan 12) in black with "2½d." credit marking in red at right. Reverse with Pretoria cds of transit (Jan 13), 'Cape Town / Cape Colony' cds (Jan 25), London cds (Feb 24) in red and Berlin arrival cds (Feb 25). Cover #6 in the Jorgensen census. Overpaid 1½ d. but a rare and most appealing cover.rn
