    Overprinted "V.R. / Transvaal" 1877 (Oct 24): New Printings on buff paper, 3 d. lilac on buff, imperforate, optd. Type 6, and 1 d. red on orange paper, used on 1878 cover to Durban, Natal tied by circular "10" numeral of Martinus Wesselstroom in black. M. W. STROOM datestamp at right in black, reverse with flap missing but full 'Durban / Natal' arrival cds (May 30). Cover unrecorded in the Jorgensen census. A fine example of the 4 d. inter-colonial rate.
