    Typographed by Adolph Otto, Gustrow, Mecklenburg-Schwerin 1871 (July): 3 d. value pale reddish-lilac, clear impression on thin paper, rouletted 15½-16, a dramatic unused block of thirty (6 x 5) from the sheet of 40 subjects (8 x 5), with the major Plate Flaw, some splitting of roulettes otherwise fresh and fine with precautionary hingeing and large part og. Reverse with PRETORIA / ZA.R. / ZUID AFRIKA circular datestamp (Nov 12, 1871). Note that on this issue, the first stamp in each horizontal row has a reinforced left vertical outer frameline from the printing pressure: this remarkable and rare multiple showing this to perfection Gi = £ 2'700+.
