    "Large ½d Surcharges" 1896 (Sept): ½ d. on 3 d. ultramarine, a used block of twenty-nine from the left pane, positions 31-36 / 37-42 / 43-48 / 49-54 / 55-59, all cancelled by ZAND RIVER / O.V.STAAT datestamps (Oct 28, 1896) in black. The block shows "Surcharge Double" varieties on positions 31, 32, 37, 43, 49, 55 and 56. A fine and most appealing multiple.
