    1863/65: 6 d. lilac, wmk. Crown CC, used horizontal strip of three and strip of four on 1866 triple rate registered cover to Andover, UK all tied by PIETER-MARITZBURG / Crown / NATAL cds's of despatch (May 8) in black with rare circular REGISTERED / Crown / NATAL handstamp alongside. Manuscript '3' in red denoting the triple rate (+ 6 d. registration) with circular PAID / DEVONPORT / CAPE-PACKET cds in red also on obverse (June 15). Fair 'Crown / Registered' handstamp at left and reverse with Natal Bank red seal and Andover arrival cds (June 16).
