    First Printing Overprinted "G" in 7 upright Types 1877 (March): Cape 6 d. deep lilac optd. "G" in red, Type 6, a used example tied to 1877 cover to Messrs. Goodman & Freedman, Hebrew Congregation, Merthyr Tydfil, Wales by double arc KIMBERLEY datestamp (May 1) in black. 'Cape Town / Cape Colony' cds at left (May 7) of transit and reverse with Merthyr Tydfil arrival cds (June 3). Cover with repair at top away from adhesive but a scarce usage.
