    Overprinted "G.W." in small (2½ mm.) Roman Capitals 1877 (March 1): Cape 1 d. carmine-red, wmk. CC, optd. 'G.W.' in black, used example with minor peripheral aging, on 1877 local cover to Barkly addressed to R. Bradshaw, the Resident Magistrate, tied by double arc BARKLY datestamp (May 9) in black.
