    'Mafeking Besieged' on Stamps of the Bechuanaland Protectorate 1900 (March 28): Surcharged 1 d. on ½ d. vermilion, a fine used block of twelve (6 x 2) and thus showing the entire forme of the Setting I-VI, with the fifth and sixth stamps in each row 'without Comma', each individually cancelled a week before the end of the Siege by MAFEKING / C.G.H. datestamps (May 12, 1900) in black.
