    'Mafeking Besieged' on Stamps of the Cape of Good Hope 1900 (March 23): Surcharged 3 d. on Cape 1 d. carmine, Hope standing, a used horizontal strip of four, the first four stamps of the forme of six (Types I-IV, all having the Comma after Mafeking), cancelled by MAFEKING / C.G.H. datestamps (April 9, 1900) in black. Some minor aging on perfs. but an attractive multiple, just 6'000 issued Gi = £ 250+.
