    'Mafeking Besieged' on Stamps of the Cape of Good Hope 1900 (March 23): Surcharged 1 d. on Cape ½ d. green, Hope seated, an unused example of good colour, variety "No Comma after Mafeking", fresh and fine appearance, somewhat dried part og. Gi = £ 325+.rnrnNote: The surcharge was applied in a forme of six, just one of which showed the "No Comma" error (Type V), although the variety can also be sometimes found on Type VI. Thus, of the 7'680 stamps printed, just 1'280 would have had the error.
