    1893/98: 3 d. bright magenta, a fine example used as Postage Due on incoming cover from Great Britain underpaid with 1 d. lilac (Gi. 172) tied by ‘Farnham / 292’ duplex; the 3 d. tied by bold numeral ‘1’ obliterator in black with handstruck “3d.” adjacent (rate 2½ d., less 1 d. prepaid, double deficiency of 1½ d. = 3 d.). Reverse with Frensham despatch cds (April 14) and ‘Charge Clerk / A’ (May 2) datestamp. Scarce and most attractive cover.              rn
