    Trial Printing 1864: 1 d. deep carmine-red on Crown CC paper, watermark sideways, the famous unused pair with ample to very large margins all round and showing portion of adjoining stamp, of excellent rich colour and impression, fresh and very fine, large part og. with some colour from the sheet stored below on the gum. Tiny nick in margin only, well away from the design. An extremely rare multiple - this being the sole multiple recorded of this rarity. An extraordinary item, one of the key pieces of the Cape.
