    De La Rue Printing 1863/64: 4 d. steel blue, used example with close to large margins all round and showing portion of adjoining stamp at base, with very fine Perkins Bacon 1862 6 d. slate-lilac on blued paper used on 1865 registered cover to Port Elizabeth tied by CGH obliterators in black. Reverse with oval framed FRASERBURG despatch datestamp in black (July 27) and circular 'Port Elizabeth / Cape Colony' arrival cds in black (Aug 4). The cover sensibly cleaned to reduce staining but a splendid and extremely rare mixed issue franking of great beauty. Cert. BPA (2018).rnrnProvenance: Collection Alfred H.
