    1855/63: Earl of Crawford Colour Trial for 1 s. value in a fine square pair, printed in yellow green, on white wove unwatermarked paper, imperforate. Fresh and very fine, a rare pair. The 26th Earl of Crawford (1847-1913) possessed the three sets of 10 of each value, 6 d. and 1 s., printed in ten different colours, believed to be Colour Trials printed in 1857 prior to the issue of the two values (ref. Stevenson page 119). Rare and delightful.
