    1855/63: 6 d. slate-lilac on blued paper, used example with clear to large margins and portion of adjoining stamp at base, just touched at lower left, overlapping 4 d. blue in a block of four, margins clear to large and minutely shaved at right cancelled by CGH obliterators on 1865 registered cover to Bloemfontein, Orange Free State. Reverse with oval framed RICHMOND despatch datestamp in black (Feb 27) and oval COLESBERG transit in red (Feb 28). Seal removed from reverse with some flap damage and a closed tear at upper left of front panel but a remarkable cover to this destination and a very rare franking: all registered Cape triangular covers can be termed elusive.
