    1855/63: 6 d. pale rose-lilac on white paper, a fine example with large margins all round, used on 1860 cover to Glasgow, tied by CGH obliterator in black. Reverse with oval framed SOMERSET EAST despatch datestamp in black (Nov 17), circular 'Cape Town / Cape of Good Hope' transit cds in red. Obverse with PAID / DEVONPORT / CAPE PACKET cds in black (Dec 28) with manuscript '5' rate credit in red crayonand 'London / Paid' transit (Dec 29) in red. The stamp removed for checking and hinged back into place. A scarce and attractive cover. Signed G. Lamy.
