    Typographed "½" Surcharge / 8 mm. Spacing 1866 (May 27): ½ on ½ pi. emerald-green, Die I, wmk. Crown CA, a used strip of four on 1886 cover to Darlington, all tied by "Nicosia / Cyprus" squared circle datestamps (July 15) in black. First stamp showing slight kiss print of the "1" at left. Reverse with transit cds and Darlington arrival (July 26). The cover has had the stamps lifted to check the watermark. Rare and not unattractive usage.
