1907 (May-June): Small Papua Overprint (Type 4), 1 d. black & carmine, wmk. vertical, comb perf. 14 on thin paper, a used vertical pair, positions 25/30 on the sheet of 30 subjects, both with variety: "Overprint Reading Upwards", upper stamp neatly cancelled by 'Port Moresby' datestamp (Jan 10, 1908) in black. Minor aging from hinge on upper stamp, the lower stamp with some browned intact original gum, an extremely rare and fine multiple. Cert. Both sheets were similarly aligned with slight differences in the overprint alignment for stamps from the same sheet position. One sheet was recorded by R.
