    Somerset House 1911 (July 13): 1 s. dark green & scarlet, an unused block of twelve (6 x 2), marginal from top of sheet, variety "Watermark Inverted and Displaced", with the upper row of stamps showing marginal watermark POSTAGE inverted (and margin consequently without wmk.) and the second row showing misplaced Watermark Crown Inverted, central bend through perforations only, fresh and very fine, unmounted og. A great rarity, this block leading to the specialised catalogue listing Gi M47(1)b = £ 8'000.rnrnProvenance: From the famous find, this variety first being offered by Charles Nissen in 'The British Philatelist', Vol. IV (1911-12) shortly after issue.
