    Imprimaturs 1840: 1 d. black, plate 8, lettered SE, with large even margins all round and in an immensely distinct dark shade, from the second registration 'After Hardening' sheet from which only stamps AL, SB, SD-SL and TA-TL were removed (23) from the Imprimatur sheets. A superb and extremely rare Imprimatur of great visual appeal and impeccable provenance. Cert.
