    1840: Mulready 1 d. black envelope, stereo A144, a used example to Broomwell House, Brislington near Bristol, cancelled by fine Maltese Cross in orange-red ink. Faint sub-Office 'No. 2' in black at left and reverse with three line dated BRISTOL / 31 MAY 1840 / PENNY POST in red - the last 'Sunday May Date'. Rare and most attractive.
