    1850: Carta a mano 45 c. dark blue type III in mixed franking of diff. papers with Carta a macchina 15 c. bright red, two fine and fresh examples with good to large margins all round, tied by "MILANO 21/5" cds's to lettersheet to Modena, reverse with "MODENA 22 MAGG. 1856" arrival datestamp. An interesting and appealing item sent from the 2nd Austrian to the 2nd Italian section during the LEGA postal treaty of January 1854. Certs. Huber (1969), Ferchenbauer (2017) Ferchenbauer = € 2'700.
