    1885/88: 40 pa. on 2½ d. lilac and 80 pa. on 5 d. green, used on 1886 registered cover to Birmingham, each tied by oval "R" registration handstamps with 'British Post Office / Constantinople' cds alongside (Jan 16) in black. Oval 'Registered / London' transit on front and reverse with Birmingham arrival (Jan 20) in black. Correctly rated 40 pa (1 piastre) postage + 80 pa. (2 piastres) registration. A scarce and attractive cover.
