    1884/90: De La Rue Die Proof for 1 s. value in black on glazed white card, handstamped '4 DEC 90' in blue and BEFORE / STRIKING in black; endorsed 'HG' at base of stamp in ink and further endorsed "Plate 2 re-struck after Die was repaired improved" (repaired deleted) in red ink.
