    1864/77: 1 d. rose-red, wmk. CC, six examples used with single 6 d. deep lilac on 1867 cover, with full original contents, from Graaf Reinett endorsed 'per Mail Str.' to Scotland, all tied by CGH obliterators in black and by 'Cape Town / Cape Colony' cds of transit (Sept 19) . PAID / DEVONPORT / CAPE PACKET cds in red (Oct 22) also on front. Reverse with oval framed GRAAF-REINETT datestamp of despatch (Sept 15) in red and Greenock and Dunoon cds's (Oct 23). Some edge wear but an unusual make-up of the 1 s. rate.
