    1864/77: 6 d. pale lilac, single example used on 1889 cover to Warburg, Germany tied by "969" or "696" numeral with LADY GREY DIV. ALIWAL NORTH datestamp adjacent (July 26). "2½d" split rate handstamp in red on front and reverse with 'Aliwal North' cds (July 27) and Warburg arrival cds (Aug 20). A fine and attractive cover.
