    Austrian Post Offices 1884: 25 soldi grey-lilac postal stationery envelope, a fine used example sent registered to Trieste cancelled by ALEXANDRIEN thimble datestamp in black (Sept 29). Reverse with Trieste arrival (Oct 6). Addressee not found and the cover returned to Alexandria with thimble cds (Oct 15) on reverse. Envelope with slight vertical bend, a philatelic usage but nevertheless very scarce.
